On the eve of the Old New Year, the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus “Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus” invites you to immerse yourself in a unique musical world—attend the concert “From Classics to Rock. Nostalgia”!
The program features two vibrant performances by the ensemble’s pop and symphony orchestra, choir, and ballet company:
🎭 Part I—rock opera “Wings” based on the poetry of Robert Rozhdestvensky.
A philosophical story about dreams, freedom, and human faith, told through the language of music, choreography, classical vocals, and heartfelt poetry. This is the story of those who have never forgotten how to dream, who are capable of love and dedicating themselves wholeheartedly to their favorite pursuits, no matter what. After all, what can stop a person if they have wings behind them, lifting them toward their cherished dream?
Once, even the thought of flying was considered madness, but today it’s conquering space. The heroic deeds of Hero of Belarus and cosmonaut Marina Vasilevskaya inspired Belarusian composer Sergei Beltyukov to complete the opera he began 30 years ago and present it to audiences.
The rock opera “Wings” is a musical performance about the power of dreams, which transcend time and make the impossible possible.
💿 Part II – “Nostalgia. Hits of the 80s and 90s.”
Expect the explosive energy of the 80s and 90s, an atmosphere of freedom and drive. Legendary compositions by The Prodigy, Scorpions, Roxette, Europe, Boney M, as well as international hits, will transport you back to the most vivid emotions of youth, joy, and carefree spirit. These songs were played on every tape deck, filled stadiums, and became the soundtracks of an entire generation. And this evening they will come to life again – performed by the artists and the audience!
🌟 One evening – two musical worlds: from the depth of classical rock opera to the vibrant energy and freedom of the 80s and 90s, performed by the Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus “Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.”
